How is the flow rate of gas controlled as it leaves a storage container?

By a pressure regulating valve- or regulator.

What is a T and P valve for electric water heater?

A T and P valve (Temperature and Pressure valve) is a safety device used in electric water heaters. It is designed to release excess pressure and temperature from the tank to prevent the tank from rupturing or exploding. When the temperature or pressure reaches a certain level, the T and P valve opens to release the excess pressure and temperature, allowing the heater to operate safely.

How do you adjust a water pressure valve to increase water pressure?

There is a bolt/screw that you turn on the top or bottom of the valve. If the pressure has decreased recently there may be issues that need to be addressed other then just increasing pressure...

How do you reset the temperature and pressure valve for electric water heaters?

The T and P valve is the temperature and pressure valve that is used on hot water tanks as a safety device. The temperature rating is up to 210 degrees F and a water pressure up to 150 psig. (pound force per square inch gauge) before the safety valve trips to relieve water and lower the pressure inside the tank. When the safety valve trips it allows cooler water to enter the tank to cool off the hot water that tripped the valve in the first place. The valve is usually located on the outflow of the tank as the temperature probe has to be located within 6 inches from the top of the tank where the water temperature will be the hottest. The valve is self resetting as soon as the pressure is reduced or the temperature lowers to below the set point of the valve.

Does less dense air have more volume than dense air?

Yes, one mole of a given gas under less pressure than another mole of the same gas would take up more volume. However we usually don't think of it in those terms because generally the container we hold gasses in retains a constant volume. The exception would be opening a valve between two pressure cylinders where one was full and the other less full or evacuated. In this case the volume would increase because we opened a valve and the container is now both the tanks. The pressure and temperature would decrease. The Ideal Gas Law is PV=nrT where P is pressure, V is volume, T is the temperature, n is the number of particles of gas and r is the Boltzmanns Constant.

What would happen if a container did not have a pressure release valve?

The pressure would build inside the container and it could not run safely without damaging parts and it may blow up.

What would happen if the contianer did not have pressure relese valve?

As the pressure increased, eventually the container would burst. Before such a dangerous pressure is reached, a safety valve would open and automatically release the pressure, preventing the container from bursting. An example is the safety valve fitted to the lid of a domestic pressure cooker used in the kitchen. When the safety valve opened, steam would be released and warn the cook to turn heat on the kitchen stove down to a safer level.

Does the heater core have a pressure release valve?

What happen if the pressure get high inside the steam turbine condenser?

There has to be a built in expansion chamber or release valve. Otherwise the expansion would cause an explosion.

Why a vent is provided on pressure safety valve body?

To release the excess pressure from its upstream.
