That's an interesting question. In order for the flywheel to go in the opposite direction, the helical gear attached to the starter motor would have to rotate in the opposite direction also. As it is designed to engage and move the flywheel in a clockwise motion, I would hazard a guess that you would very shortly be installing a new starter motor with the correct polarity.

Yes, the velocity of an object can reverse direction even when its acceleration is constant. This can happen when the object is subjected to an acceleration in the opposite direction to its initial velocity, causing it to slow down and eventually reverse direction.
When reverse the direction of a seperately excited DC generator, only polarities has been reversed,i.e., (+) becomes (-) and (-) become (+).

A: nothing should happen since a 1N4001 is capable to sustain 100v in the reverse direction. 52v is within the 100v reverse breakdown voltage.

Yes. But the odds are pretty small that it will happen.
Yes, the direction of an object's velocity can reverse even when it is experiencing constant acceleration. This can happen if the acceleration is in the opposite direction to the object's initial velocity.
Time will slow down.
If the direction of the current in an electromagnet is reversed, the direction of the magnetic field surrounding the electromagnet will also reverse. This change in direction will affect the polarity of the electromagnet, causing its north and south poles to switch.
