Frogs are very important to human beings because they are insectivores, which means they usually prey on insects. Some insects can be harmful pests, like mosquitoes, cockroaches, houseflies, etc. because they can infect people with some nasty diseases, and the disease is more obvious from mosquitoes. The frogs serves as an insect pest control because they usually snack on insects. Some animals like snakes, some birds, etc. are the frog's natural predators. This is about the food chain links that the frogs needs to be there to help feed their predators, and the natural symbiosis keeps going up the food chain. If the frogs went extinct, the effects would be terrible and very scary. The frogs usually prey on insects to help control their population and with the frog extinction, there will be more insects than usual. The insects population will grow out of control and explode. Too much insects would be overwhelming and scary. Some insects usually eat plants, so the insects pests could eat human crops, which may ruin human agriculture, which can cause some famine to human, which we might starve to death. More insects will begin to eat more plants, which there'll be fewer plants. Insect pests like mosquitoes can be very scary, and recently, there have been some news of mosquito disease infections. With the frog extinction, the mosquito population will explode, which they can overwhelm human society and there would be a disease outbreaks. The disease outbreaks is terrible because more people can get seriously infected, which people needs to migrate to colder climates where insect pests rarely occurs. People prefer living in warmer climates more because we can freeze to death in colder climates, especially if the weather turns very cold. That's terrible because it's fun to spend some time outdoors and we needed to go outside when going somewhere, which we can't do anymore with mosquito disease outbreaks. The food chain that revolves around frogs would start to crumble. Some animals like snakes, some birds, etc. usually prey on frogs, so their predator will have less food to eat. The snakes will begin to eat more lizards, which can also be terrible. Lizards are also insectivores, which means they usually prey on insects, and lizards also serve as an insect pest control because they usually snack on insects. That means that the insects will overpopulate more because there'll be less lizards, which is another insectivore. Afterwards, the animals that eat the frog's predator will also starve to death, and the devastation will keep going up the food chain, and so on and so fourth. The insects would overwhelm a lot of ecosystems, and insect pests will be all over the place and eventually, it'll become an environmentally devastated world.

Why would the biomass of a frog population be smaller then the biomasss population of the insect population?

Insects are very small and reproduce very fast. This allows them to have larger populations.. One frog needs to eat many insects to gain enough nutrients. The amount of insects that have to be consumed for one frog limits the population..
