Well it definatly wouldn't be good. All the cars on the bridge would have a chance of being crushed by falling supports, as for cyclists.........well I'm sure you can imagine. It would probably be featured on the news, blamed on Another Country, and be considered a national tragedy. People would grieve over the ones they've lost, and the survivors would probably be happy to just be alive.
No, you'd hold up traffic which would be a traffic violation. I do believe there is a park close to the Golden Gate Bridge and it could be an outdoor wedding and perhaps your photographer could get pictures of the Bridge and Groom with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background.
As a structural engineer, I would rather be on the second floor. Ask yourself this: Would I rather be under a bridge or on the bridge when it collapsed? The people in Michigan who rode the bridge down survived because the bridge did not fall as if dropped out of the sky. Part of the bridge "cushioned" the fall.
Through tolls!
it would send us in to a Even bigger economical breakdown
Depends on the size and placement of the bridge. I could put a bridge in my backyard for a few hundred, but a bridge like the Golden Gate would be millions.

The most famous beam bridge would be the Golden Gate bridge in California. The bridge spans the channel between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay.
