What would happen if you didn't have police force?

A civilization without police or a military police force to guard citizens from harm and to arrest suspected people doing harm to persons or property would be a chaotic and dangerous civilization.

Police officers are very important for the community and the world. They help keep the countries safe. Some people might be thieves, who might steal stuffs from other people, and without police officers, if a thief already stole your belongings, it'll be hard to solve the problem and you'll be doomed. In the past, some people use weapons to kill other people which is dangerous. The police officers tries to control these things from happening. If someone killed other people, they'll be sent to prison and might have a life imprisonment. Some actions might be illegal like setting buildings on fire if this happens, the police would discipline this issue.

If there were no police officers, the world would be a terrible and scary place. You would feel scared if you can imagine this terrible scenario. People might use weapons to kill others and might fight with each other as a riot. If a thief already stole your belongings, the problem would be hard to solve and you'll be doomed. If someone set buildings on fire, this might continue to keep on happening and it might be a huge disaster.

That's why police officers are very important to help control criminals and bad happenings. If the criminals increase, I'm pretty sure that there'll be more police officers to take more control of criminals.

That's similar with the food chain. Let's take lions eating zebras as an example. The lions eat the zebras to help control their population. Zebras are herbivores, which eats grasses. If there are too much zebras, there won't be enough grass for them to eat, which they might experience some famine. Having less grass might be bad. If the zebra population started to increase, then there should be more lions, so that there'll be enough lions to take more control of the zebra populations.

Law would not be upheld, and eventually there would be no order in society. Everything degrades into anarchy, or a semblance of it.
