Tegaderm film is used as a dressing over non-draining wounds or punctures (like intravenous sites) to keep them clean and free infectious matter. Personally, when applying a medicated patch like Nicoderm, I like to put a tegaderm of it so it stays in place better.
If you put on a new patch when it's supposed to be your patch-free week, there are no special dangers. You will not be at increased risk for pregnancy. You may miss your period, and you may have unscheduled spotting during the next cycle.
You should wait until it's finished bleeding and oozing. So Ideally no less than 4 hours and no more than 12. Then you should wash it and dry it. Then put the tegaderm on and leave it on for 3-5 days.
No, but you can put the patch on your upper arm.
Read the instructions that came with the pills, I would think you should be protected though.
put the patch on the Sunday after you start your period
Yes, if you forget to put on your patch, you could have withdrawal bleeding. Put on the patch as soon as you remember. Use a backup method until you've used the patch correctly for seven days.
Put a poles around the patch then put a net completely over and around the garden patch.
Nothing will happen
If you changed the patch as scheduled, you are at no additional risk for pregnancy. If you changed the patch late, you may be at risk.
