It would be difficult to compare volumes (like pints) to a distance (like feet) without having more background data. If I spill one pint of water on my tile kitchen floor, the puddle will be about 6 feet across. But if I spill a pint of water on my carpet, the wet spot will only be about 2 feet across. One pint of milk in a milk bottle will be about 1/2 foot tall. See what I mean?
