The chemical formula for nitrogen monoxide is NO. It consists of one nitrogen and one oxygen atom per molecule of nitrogen monoxide.

Why there are nitrogen bombs and nitro boosters if oxygen helps in burning?

Because chemical other than oxygen also boost burning rates.

ammonia + oxygen --> nitrogen monoxide + water

Why does magnesium go out immedely in nitrogen?

Burning of magnesium (or anything else) requires continuing combination with oxygen. If a burning piece of magnesium is transferred to an atmosphere of nitrogen, no additional magnesium can react with oxygen because none is available for reaction.

Why did god made nitrogen more abundant than oxygen?

oxygen is used by human and animals for respiration but nitrogen do not. for consuming nitrogen plants need nitrogen fixation thus occurs on low scale on other hand oxygen is directly used so its cunsumbtion is more then nitrogen. another important point is that oxygen is used in burning, formation of water etc thus means ratio of cunsumbtion of oxygen is more then nitrogen ,if there was more oxygen then it would lead to a blast every time there was a spark

What is formed when nitrogen combines with oxygen when burning fossil fuels?

Various nitric oxides are formed.

What will happen if oxygen is less abundant than nitrogen?

It already is. Air is about 4/5ths nitrogen and about 1/5th oxygen (and about 1% "other stuff"). The current ratio of nitrogen to oxygen in air is about 4:1 as you can see.

Why is nitrogen gas more than oxygen gas in the air?

oxygen is used by human and animals for respiration bt nitrogen do not. for consuming nitrogen plants need nitrogen fixation ths occurs on low scale on other hand oxygen is directly used so its cunsumbtion is more then nitrogen. another important point is that oxygen is used in burning, formation of water etc ths means ratio of cunsumbtion of oxygen is mor then nitrogen

What will happen if there is too much percentage of nitrogen?

if ther will be too much nitrogen so oxygen will decrease and we will be breathless .
