In a convergent plate collision between continental and oceanic plates, the more dense oceanic plate would subduct, or move underneath, the less dense continental plate, eventually melting into the mantle at the leading edge.

Convergent boundaries are where plates move into one another. When the Indian Plate collided with the harder Eurasian Plate the Indian Plate went underneath and raised up the Eurasian Plate to form the Himalayas.

In all probability - not that this scenario would happen - but the resulting combination of masses, would push the combined "stars" over the Chandrasekhar limit and a black hole would form.
