Apparently, yes.
oceans would dry
the sun moves closer to earth
It would get to hot. We would die.
If the earth got pulled in closer to the sun, or if the sun expands significantly, then the earth will get much warmer. That said, nothing like that is going to happen for a couple billion years yet.
everyone would DIE! surely..
we will all die
If the Moon continued to revolve around the Earth while the Earth remained stationary, the cycle of moon phases would still occur, but the appearance of the Moon would change more gradually. The phases would progress at a consistent rate relative to the Moon's orbit, but the context of the Earth not rotating would alter the visibility of those phases for observers on Earth. As a result, the timing of when each phase is visible would be affected, potentially leading to longer periods of visibility for some phases.
Both Mercury and Venus, being closer to the sun than us, will show phases. When Venus is at is brightest it is generally just a bit over half full. If you were on Mars, you would note phases on earth.
it will boil the ocean and melt the trees and grass
The moon phases would change.
If we moved close enough, the planets atmosphere would disintegrate and we would all die from suffocation or heat.
If Earth moved closer to the sun, temperatures would increase significantly, leading to the melting of ice caps, changes in weather patterns, and potential harm to ecosystems and biodiversity. Life as we know it would be threatened due to the extreme heat and its impacts on the environment.
