The relay is right behind the battery. The lead got bumped off when removing the battery to get access to the blower motor.
Check your power . Battery and see if it is charged.
Our original battery had to be replaced about 4 months ago (we have a 2005 500). The battery showed it was fully charged --- but it wasn't. This was the original battery that came in the car. You might take the battery out and take it and have it professionally checked at a parts store. We thought something else was wrong with the car since it wouldn't turn over, but it turned out to just be the battery.
the battery my have a bad cell, or the starter may need to be replaced
Bad starter? Bad neutral switch? ignition switch?
The 2005 comes with a five digit (all numbers) code. After the battery is replaced, turn on the radio. The radio should show "Code." Simply punch in the five numbers on the turning buttons and the radio will immediately start working.
you might have shorted out something-started, but the same thing happened to me, and it was the stupidest thing in the world and wouldn't hurt to check, do u have an alarm system? my car has a trip sensor so when the battery is changed or shorted to try to hotwire, alarm is automatically applied, and wont start with the alarm on The clicking sound is the starting relay and is typical of a battery with low voltage. You didn't state the reason the old battery was replaced. If it was because of age, the above alarm issue may be the cause. If the old battery was only a couple of years old and not holding a charge, there could be a slow drain from short. If it worked when first installed and within a few starts it is failing, then I would suspect something in the charging circuit. A good alternator will put out about 14 volts at the battery terminals with the engine running.
try turning it off then removing the battery then putting the battery back in the turning it on. it worked on mine
Turning Parking Lights ON while Charging BatteryNO, it serves no purpose other than to reduce the life of the parking light bulb filaments, and to cause the battery to have to be charged longer.
i disable mine by leaving the key in the ignition in the on position without turning the car on for 30 min. doing this disables it for me but if u ever remove the battery or it goes flat u will have to do this again as it resets when the battery is reconnected / replaced.
It sounds like it is time to have the internal battery replaced. This can be done by Garmin, or if you are handy, check the web for instructions on how to open the unit and replace the battery. If the unit is still under warranty, Garmin may not charge you for the replacement.
First make sure your battery is fully charged. Crank the car, if the engine is turning over (moving) your starter is working. HTH
