I had similar problem on my 73 SB and had to change the ignition switch so that could work for you too I guess. Have to take the steering wheel off, the turn signal switch and windshield wiper switch to get to it on a 73. Hope that helps. If this little girl can do it anyone should be able to...lol
I have to replace my brake booster on my 99 vw beetle elite. I need the instructions on how to do this. Any ideas. Thanks
Your starter is probably shot, gonna cost about 400 bucks at an autoshop.
check fuses
Dash lights and tail lights are on the same fuse.
you still have aloose ground motor to body motor to battery under dash have fun
Some ideas... 1. Dead battery 2. The car isn't in park and so the key seems 'stuck' and won't turn 3. Ran out of gas Most likely if nothing will cut on (ie. lights inside, radio, etc.) the battery is dead.
Sounds like you have a bad ground issue with this vehicle, possibly a bad headlight switch.Checking for either will take experience and a wiring schematic.Good luck! ** Also check you battery. Sometimes turning on lights will strain a weak battery.
After doing research I've found that it was both Béla Barényi and Ferdinand Porsche. who ever truly invented it i dont know but it seems to be an acumulation of ideas from Barényi and Porsche. As far as i know Hitler asked Porsche to design a car that would carry 2 adults and 3 children. there were a few other requirements but Porsche supposedly designed the first Volkswagen Beetle. Hitler didn't invent it if anyone wanted to know.
Check the grounds on all wiring harness this was the problem on mine
battery low on charge, or the battery is bad, or a faulty starter, just google, how to change starter on E46. for instructions ( written by me ) and you will find them.
If it is still on when your car is off it may be a sensor to your brake lights that may need looked at. If it is on when your car is running it may just be something to do with day time running lights. Just get a regular battery powered diode rear light for a bike, and figure out a way to attach it to your trailer. No need for a trailer-specific light.
