did you check your fuel pump pressure? Mine cost approximately $450 to fix. I had a similar problem with my 1998 zx2. the pump over heats and starts to sputter like your outta gas whil driving or just stalls. When the pump cools for several hours it will start right up.
timing belt probably
if the sound of the engine cranking sounds unusual, your timing belt has snapped.
That happened to my 1996 F-150. Ended up being my oxygen sensor. It would crank, but not start.
Your car lost power while you were driving and it will not start now because the battery is depleted.
engine stalls sometimes driving
Generally, no.
It lost fuel and/or spark and/or compression. Many possibilities of the source.
A person's eyes can start watering while driving because the driver hasn't blinked enough to keep the eye moist.
You might check the O2 sensor and/or the catalytic converter....
it could be your emission check sensor
Check to make sure the air filter is clean. If it's clogged it can prevent your engine from having proper air flow. Had this happen to me on 1999 escort - turned out to be broken fuel pump. Alternatively the fuel lines could be blocked/twisted but this is unlikely to happen suddenly whilst driving.
