Sometimes a person just wants to try it and see how it affects them especially if they are under a lot of stress.
What many people do not understand is that drug addiction is a very powerful addiction. No one whats to neglect their family but once you become addicted it changes you in ways you would never ever have believed. The guilt can become overwhelming and an addict will increase their habit to help them not feel the guilt. I have often thought that only an addict can feel the urge and it is very difficult for their loved ones to understand.
