Sounds like an overdrive problem. The transmission is kicking in and out of overdrive causing it to overwork and get too hot. turn the overdrive off and try it.
If you drive the Dart like I would (like a bat out of hell) the car would most likely overheat from fast acceleration, and more strain on the engine than what is needed. If you drive legaly, it could very well be the thermostat. Be sure that you use the correctly dilluted antifreeze.
it is possible for heat from combustion to cause an engine to overheat quickly depending on where the gasket is blown, but i would look for a lack of coolant circulation first. if your coolant is not getting out of the motor and into the radiator it will overheat very quickly.
it may be because your fan is not pulling as much air as your engine needs.also the ac puts extra strain on your engine making it work harder.you may also have air in the cooling system creating hot spots in your engine. ignition timing can also cause a vehicle to overheat.
A cracked radiator would leak the fluid out, leaving no coolant for your engine which would cause your engine to overheat and be destroyed pretty quickly. So the answer is NO.
Friction
Yes. While hydroplaning there is no load on the drive wheels.
A faulty thermostat. leaking head gasket lower radiator hose soft collapses when motor is reved up
because god put earth jut right if it were 2% closer to the sun it would overheat if it was 2% further from the sun it would freeze
excellent.
It depends, is the Transmission over heating or is it the engine itself? you may need to have the transmission serviced, band adjustment and fluid change but either way in drive the engine is still trying to spin the transmission but something is not allowing the clutch to spin. i would just take it to a tranny shop.
While there are several causes of overheating, the two most common reasons, by far, would be a damaged or worn water pump, and or a faulty thermostat(s).
Fan clutch faulty. Fan shroud missing or broken. Radiator air flow may be blocked from outside with debris (leaves and stuff).
