If you mean carrying capacity it refers to the absolute number possible of a certain species in a certain geographic area. Any species can exceed the carrying capacity of it's environment by depleting any one of the elements it needs for survival. Humans = nutritious food, fresh water, proper sanitation, adequate shelter etc... Fish = Oxygen, food, spawning areas, shelter etc... Hope that helps.
