Those would be the basic courses that you build on toward your degree. Usually, you take them in the first two years of college: English, Biology or other science; history, your choice of a humanities course or two (mythology, Greek literature, philosophy) and the basic math courses required for your major.

Registering for classesYou must take all the general education courses. The basic classes English, and Math, etc... When you go to register you will have to take a placement test. The placement test will determine what classes you have to take. The classes you have to take also depends on what your major is. Either way all you have to do is go register and the advisors will show you exactly what classes you have to take.
