What would push a woman cheat in her marriage?

Maybe it's because they want more excitement in their lives. Their husband could be boring and they want to find someone more intriguing. I think if the husband is also very harsh and heartless towards the wife and mistreats them they maybe more tempted to cheat. That's just my opinion though.

It might not be the husband's fault, maybe the wife is just doing it to get back at him for something, or maybe she just doesn't love him anymore.

First of all, there are many surface reasons men give for having an affair. Many times those answers are truth. Truth to them. Let me say, for 95% or more of men it's not about the sex. Some may say it is but for the most part it isn't. They just don't know or recognize the reason they have had an affair or want one. I, being male and an offending spouse as well as doing research and study can tell you the one first answer without going into a multiple reasons.

A lack of male friendship support that is a strong and positive enforcement of marriage and a loss of who he is.

This isn't the only reason but the number one reason once long term counseling and communication happens. Nearly everytime, this is the bottom line just not the only reason. There are others which are just as harmful if not dealt with.

Reasons that would push a married woman to cheat:

• Most women by nature are romantics so when married for several years some women feel the romance is missing out of their marriage and then some women will seek romance or a feeling of being attractive and treated well by someone other than their spouse.
• If their spouse is mentally or physically abusive.
• If the sexual relationship with their spouse is 'hit and miss' or there is no sexual relationship between the two at all.
• A nagging husband can cause a woman to look for another to feel more appreciated.
• A lazy husband who doesn't feel that he has to impress his wife any longer and he never buys her flowers every so often; doesn't take her out for a nice dinner or dancing or join in with friends at a favorite club.
• If the husband has become antisocial and the wife is lonely and feels she is falling into the same slump as her husband and wants to have fun in her life and feel appreciated for who and what she is and does.
• When a husband refuses to give his wife a break with the children and complains she has no time for him.
• If a wife makes more money than her husband this can sometimes cause the husband to feel less of a man and this could cause many arguments in a marriage.
• Two career orientated partners and one is doing better than the other can cause friction between the spouses.
• Drugs and alcohol can cause problems in a marriage.
• Some women cannot commit to one man.
• Some women are vain and need a man to tell them they are beautiful 24/7 which is simply not plausible.
• A woman who is not secure in herself.

There are many more reasons why a woman will cheat, but cheating on a spouse is hurtful and selfish and there really are no logical reasons for a wife to cheat when good communication skills are a possibility of saving a marriage and if her spouse refuses to cooperate then it is wiser for the wife to decide to either separate or divorce her spouse and then date again rather than run away from her problems and lower herself by cheating.
