either a dead starter or a bad ignition coil would be my guess
yes it would or it might be the starter
are you getting fuel?
if your secuerty light is on and don;t go out your key switch has broken a wire you can by pass the vat system with a part off e bay for 29.00 or replace key cylinder for about 350.00

It depends on what engine is in the Camaro.
Start with the basics. There are two things needed - Fire and gas. Fire being electrical power, make sure there is fire to your plugs. Gas make sure it is getting gas to the carburator. Search both pathways to your problem.

Two main reasons a car wont start are gas and fire. Is it getting gas to the tbi (carb). Are the plugs getting fire(spark). Track these two down and you will find your problem.
