The last info I saw on this particular DU gun showed a value in the $800 - $1000 range. I was looking at various "gun Value" books & publications in Barnes & Nobles. I cannot recall the exact name of the book (something similar to the Blue Book of Gun Values or close to that anyway), but I do recall it having a section devoted to Just Ducks Unlimited firearms. I have the same described dinner gun and that is the value quoted.
it depends on the year of the Remington 1100
According to Remington's website, that model was made 1928-1933.
The human condition improved during the Enlightenment, but whether that was cause and effect is a matter of debate.
It's just referred to as the placebo effect, where a persons condition or perceived condition has improved after the treatment.
1929 to 1933 The Improved version of the Remington model 6 became available circa 1905, and featured a blue frame in 24 in. barrel. Production continued until 1933. The earlier models had the original case colored frame.
Remington never made a "improved" model 8, unless it's called the Model 81 (an improved version of the model 8) however this gun was never (and couldn't be) offered in a 22, it's a center-fire rifle only. Either you have mis-identified what you have or the amount of gun-smithing done is substantial and like amazing if it works.
In addition to providing consistent coloring, bleaching improved the condition of the flour gluten, which in turn improved its baking quality
Remington firearms can be dated- but NOT from the serial number. There is a 2 or 3 LETTER code stamped on the barrel, left side, about a quarter inch from the receiver. Go to the website for the Remington Collectors Association for the chart to translate letters to month and year.
Remington did manufacture a John Browning designed rifle. The Remington Model 8, semi-auto rifle was made from 1906 until 1936. The improved version, the Model 81, was made from 1936 until 1950. Remington also manufactured the Browning designed Auto-5 shotgun under their name as the Model 11 in various grades and gauges.
The Remington model 121 is the improved model 12 and is still considered one of the finest 22 pump rifles made. They were made in 6 general models including those chambered for the .22 Remington Special Cartridge (.22 W.R.F) from 1936 to 1956 in quantity of approximately 200,000. In better condition they are considered quite collectible.
It's a good gun. We hope you are enjoying it.
A model 11 in good condition will bring $500 in todays market. If it has a poly-choke then deduct up to $150. 1948 was the last year of production. The Remington model 11 is a later/improved version of the Browning A5. Both great guns.
