probably death if I did commit the crime, but if I didn't then imprisonment in the hope that I would be found innocent later on

Dependant on how many killings they had performed in what countries and/or states I imagine it would be life imprisonment or in a country with the death penalty they would be executed. Probably harsher punishment than a serial killer as they are profiteering out of serious crime.
