89-95 almost 100% compatible. there are some minor wiring differences but all important wires and vacuum lines are the same. if you're swapping motors between certain years you may find some wires will not have a connection and the "maintenance required" light will always be on (probably because of the wires to nowhere...) but everything should work fine. i have a 91 Cherokee with a 92 motor with a few wires to nowhere and i'd drive my Jeep across the country any day.
With some cars, yes
1987 to 1990 should be similar
No, different bolt pattern.
yes, the '98 and '99 are identical
1987 thru 1995 are all YJ's and are the same.
I don't about the laws in your state, but in California the rule is that no matter what year car you're going to put the motor in...it MUST be the same year or newer. You can't install an older motor in a newer vehicle.
No they are not. But 88 to 99 will work.
How do you change the steering shaft in a 1990 Jeep Wrangler?
yes. parts from a 93 to 97 model are mostly interchangable
To my knowledge it can be found on 1990-2001 XJ's. BR, Christian
The "acceptable" mileage for a 1990 Jeep Cherokee Laredo should range from 192,000 miles to 280,000 miles. This calculation takes into consideration a 1990 Laredo bought in the year it was available for sale, such as 1989 all the way to 1990 and multiplying the length of time until today (2007) by either 12,000 miles or 15,000 miles in a year, which is still considered acceptable.
Doctor Jeep was created in 1990-12.
