To the best of my knowledge, never. A Bret Powers did QB Arizona State at one point, I think in the '80s. ---- 1993.
Bret Powers was #3 on the 1993 Buckeyes after transferring from Arizona State. He played 1989-1991 for the Sun Devils.
1992
Iam going to take a wild guess and say it was either 1992 or 1993? Bret Powers, is now a doctor here in Corona, Ca. I was referred to him for my back by my doctor. I just happened to wear one of my Buckeyes shirts that day and he refreshed my memory of him. He transferred from Arison State to Ohio State for his senior year in 1993. Though Bobby Hoying was listed as the starter, John Cooper used a two quarterback system that year with Hoying and Powers sharing snaps. Dr. Powers to this day looks like he could step out on the football field and still be a force. I met him in 2009. Search Bret Powers DO Corona, Ca.
