1989 was the first year for corvette to have the air bag.

Chevrolet. In 1973 Chevy put it in cars for the government. The '73 Olds Toronado was the first passenger car with airbags sold to the public. But, actually the 1951 Tucker was the first car to EVER have airbags. And, it was sold to the public. The Tucker also was the first car to have seatbelts and headlights that turned with the front wheels, among many other safety features that are now considered "modern" improvements.
The original Corvettes (1953) were all painted white.

The first Corvette was made in 1953, There were no Corvettes for sale to the public in 1983 there were however some made for test purposes but GM destroyed most of them after testing. There is ONE 1983 Corvette in the Museum in Bowling Green KY. They are currently making Corvettes so run out and put your order in at your Chevy dealer. Dave

To install a Cobra CB radio in a 2010 Chevy Lumina, first disconnect the battery cables. Then mount the CB box and then power the CB radio. Then mount the antennae.

In the 1950's an airbag system was developed, but in 1954 some government cars came with airbags. In 1988 Chrystler offered the first cars with airbags as standard equipment, but it wasn't until 1994 they were used widely. but they have always had mother in-laws
