Mongolia was founded in 1206. It claimed its independence from the Manchu-Qing Empire on December 29, 1911. The capital of Mongolia is Ulan Bator or Ulaanbaatar.

The February Revolution of 1917 in Russia put an end to the rule of the Tsars but it did not establish a communist government. The communist government was not established until later that year in the October Revolution.

Mao Zedong was Chairman of The Communist Party of China (CPC) between 1943-1976.
For centuries they had a monarchy and then a communist government for the last 90 years. Until the 1980's when they became a semi democracy. I was there last year and all the communist symbols are still up and on buildings my personal opinion is that they are still communist.
1981 was the year in which a non-communist trade union, known as the Solidarity movement challenged the iron-fisted Communist bureaucracy. The movement was led by Lech Walesa, and resulted in strikes in the port of Gdansk, Poland, and the communist backlash, when the government declared martial law.
