They migrate or immigrate. Migrate is if you leave one country, immigrate is if you go to another.
When you leave a country it is called emigration.When you arrive in a country it is called immigration.

There they built a great civilization including cities, pyramids, and temples. By 1400 AD, Aztec Empire had 5 million people. In 1519 Spanish conquistadors arrived in Mexico and defeated the Aztecs.

It depends on what you mean by "Mexican culture". Aztecs? They were a nomadic people until 1325 when they founded their first city in the location of present-day Mexico City.
