The Axis powers were most successful in World War II during the early years of the conflict, specifically from 1939 to 1942. This period saw rapid expansions, including Germany’s swift victories in Poland, France, and the low countries, as well as Japan's advances in Southeast Asia and the Pacific. However, their momentum began to wane after significant defeats, such as the Battle of Stalingrad in 1942 and the Battle of Midway in the same year, which marked the turning point in the war.

In French, the year 1996 is "Mille neuf cent quatre-vingt-seize."
WW2 started on Sept 1, 1939 when Germany invaded Poland. It started for the U.S. on Dec 7, 1941 when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. The U.S. Congress declared war on Japan on Dec 8th, 1941 and then declared war on Germany and all the Axis powers on Dec 11th, 1941.
Neither did. It was their ally, Japan. They launched the bombing on Pearl Harbor, the only attack on us that was ever carried out by any of the axis powers.

I visited Poland this year in the summer holidays.
Sweden occupied Poland in 1655-1656.
Perhaps. The x-axis is where you put the variable that you change. The y-axis is where the second variable which depends upon the first would go. If you are recording a measurement that changes every year (e.g. populations of frogs), the x-axis would be the suitable for the year because that is the variable which changes. The population of the frogs is different depending on the year. If you were measuring the year of birth of a distribution of people, the year would go on the y-axis. The year depends upon which person you choose.
Poland experiences 6 distinct seasons throughout the year.
Poland gets about 763 FT of rain each year
