the oil is called type F it was originaly made for ford motors but most people put it in the blaster
do is 69 or 70 1200cc unless the engine number ends with x then it a replacment case
the engine size for Mercedes its always the number in this case its 2.3
On the engine case you might find this number, it will indicate the case is from a 70's era 1600 cc engine.
Either your transmission is in gear or locked up, kick starter assembly has become dislodged in the case, your clutch is incredibly out of whack, or your engine is locked up.
The engine number is the last 8 digits of the VIN(vehicle identification number) and is stamped on the engine block, transmission, frame and transfer case (if equipped).

Best I remember, there's a part number stamped on the case at the bottom of the generator pedestal.

The engine serial number is located on the case under the oil filler neck. The engine number is located on the side of the sump. You may need to clean the area to read the number.
It is located on the left hand side of the case just below thw cylinders on the case it's self.
