Well, MINE was made in 1958. If you want to know what year YOUR 552 was made, look for the 2 or 3 letter code on the barrel. Left side, just forward of the receiver. Letters are very small. Once you find them, Google "blackpowderx Remington" to find the Remington collectors website, with the barrel code table. "Blackpowderx" was the Remington system of dating- B=1, L=2, A=3 C=4, etc.
Check the barrel and receiver
Dont Know but gun shop by my house has one for $100.00 used condition. scratches and some wear on barrel....
If the Remington 552, 22cal. rifle is in mint condition it is worth about 500.00 bucks. It is in very good condition with a scope. My husband passed away and I was wondering how much to ask for it. Any suggestions?
