In the year 1986, NBC came under the control of General Electric (GE) when GE purchased RCA for a whopping $6.4 billion. Once it was bought, the new Chief Executive of NBC was Bob Wright, who worked till his retirement. NBC is being watched in approximately 112 million households or in other words 98.6% of those who have televisions at home watch NBC.
