The A prefix should indicate an Armour Alloy gun. This is a hard shiny plating that was only offered in 1986-1989, and the usual serial number data does not work for those guns. You will need to check directly with T/C customer service. Barrels from other T/C models will not fit due to the plating, but the pivot pin hole CAN be polished to enlarge it just a tiny amount to permit other barrels to be used.
