Try to find out who built the tiller for Wards (they were built for Wards by some big outdoor equipment company, there was never a "Montgomery Wards Tiller Factory"). If you can find out who made it, their parts department should be able to help you. Good luck, though - Wards has been gone for some time now, and all parts are eventually replaced with "newer models". You might be out of luck.
I'm not sure who made it, but the one I have has a Tecumseh horizontal crankshaft but no Model number on the engine. If someone has one with the engine model and number on it I would like to know so I can order parts. rongaddy@comcast.net

You will be hard pressed to find one. The machine was made by Magna America. I think that the intellectual property of that defunct company belongs to Toro.
The engine is driving a transmission which turns the rotor
The helicopter was made in China.
