I can say that the Savage model 99F was made from 1955-1973.The .308 Winchester Cartridge was available starting in 1956 or 1957.
The savage model 99F featherweight was made from 1920-1940.The regular savage model 99F was made from 1955-1973.The value of these two models vary.Based on a percentage of original finish remaining ranging from 60%-95%,the savage model 99F featherweight is 600-950 dollars.the regular model 99F is 265-565 dollars,if the bore is in good condition on the rifle.
I have just purchased our 3rd savage 99F , they seem to hold at a value of around 350.00 to 450.00 depending on the wear and condition.
Most savage model 99F rifles in .300 savage caliber will sell for between 450-650 dollars depending on overall condition and a good bore.
