According to the Fire Island Lighthouse Preservation Society's web site: The first lighthouse built on Fire Island was completed in 1826. It was a 74-foot high, cream colored, octagonal pyramid made of Connecticut River blue split stone. The tower was built at the end of the island, adjacent to the inlet. This tower was not effective due to its lack of height. It was taken down and the stone was reused to build the terrace for the present lighthouse. Today a circular ring of bricks and stone are all that remain of the original lighthouse.
The lighthouse is the Fire Island Light, on Fire island, a barrier island off Long Island, NY.

In "Three Skeleton Key," the fire boat plays a crucial role in rescuing the three lighthouse keepers from the infested island. The fire boat brings the men to safety away from the horrific rats that have overrun the lighthouse.

In is not known. In antiquity, lighthouses functioned as port entrance markers to ports, not as signals for reefs and promontories, where fire platforms were used. It was only under the Romans that a network of lighthouses around the Mediterranean developed. The most famous ancient lighthouse was the Pharos of Alexandria of Egypt. This was a Greek lighthouse, not an Egyptian one. Alexandria was founded by the Greeks and the lighthouse was built during the period of Greek rule in Egypt. Many of the Roman lighthouses modelled on that of Alexandria. There was a huge lighthouse at Portus Romanus, Rome's port near Ostia. Another one was built at Centum Cellae (now Civitavecchia, 80 km NW of Rome) where the emperor Hadrian had a port built near his imperial palace and where a detachment of the imperial fleet was base in the third and second century AD.
Simple as that. It is a Fire Island
It was actually China. China built the first rockets in the form of fire works, since it was the first country to have/invent gun powder.
