Earth, in which "the period of Earth's orbit is one year, and its frequency is one orbit per year." - Encyclopedia Britannica Online
Scientific theories are made to explain phenomena. Newton made his laws of motion to explain what he observed in the behavior of accelerating objects. When his law failed to explain the motion of very massive objects in situations of very large forces and speeds (such as the orbit of Mercury about the sun) the theory had to be modified slightly to explain the discrepancies. In this case this was done by Einstein's correction due to special relativity. The correction for the orbit of Mecury amounts to a movement of 0.5 seconds of arc per year in the nodes of the orbit.

The first use of 'moving pictures' began in the 1830's. One individual who has been credited for the 'invention' of the first motion picture camera is Louis Lumiere in 1895.
Thomas Alva Edison invented motion picture in the late 1890s. His interest in motion picture started at around 1888, and the first motion picture shown to an audience was in New York City on April 23, 1896. A fun fact is that one of the first motion pictures he took (and the first one copyrighted) was of one of his employees pretending to sneeze!

The oldest known motion picture is Roundhay Garden Scenefrom 1888. But the first motion picture with a real plot was A Trip to the Moon from 1902 and was a Science Fiction film. So the first movie genre ever was Science Fiction. Unbelievable, isn't it?
It wasn’t until 1930’s that the first movie with sound was made. The addition of audio tracks in movies created a new dynamic and new genres in film.
well around 1872 was the first "moving picture" google Eadweard Muybridge. But 1902 was a big year, films stopped being about just motion and started being about stories, check out George Melies. Ignore the voice over please!
