Highland games are events held throughout the year in Scotland and other countries as a way of celebrating Scottish and Celtic culture and heritage, especially that of the Scottish Highlands. Certain aspects of the games are so well known as to have become emblematic of Scotland, such as the Bagpipes, the Kilt, and the heavy events, especially the Camber Toss. While centred on competitions in piping and drumming, dancing, and Scottish heavy athletics, the games also include entertainment and exhibits related to other aspects of Scottish and Galio culture.
If you know where Ethiopia is located in relation to the Equator, and consider how warm countries that are close to the equator are, then think about where Highland cattle have originated, and what their climate is like in relation to Ethiopia, then you can get the gist as to the reason why. But if you're still lost, here's the answer:Ethiopia is a country that almost never, ever sees such cold and wet as Scotland does throughout the entire year. Ethiopia never sees cold temperatures as Scotland does, which the Highland cow is clearly very well adapted to with her thick and long hair coat. Thus, if a Highland cow were to live in Ethiopia, she wouldn't last very long because she would be overcome with heat-stress--which lead to heat stroke and heat-exhaustion--which will kill her. Highland cattle are adpated to very cold environments, not very hot ones. Bos indicus-type cattle are much more adapted to the hot environment that makes Ethiopia Ethiopia, and are better suited to thrive there better than any Highland cow can.

It made it 100 times easier to transport meat and other cattle products to areas of america that they wouldn't of been able to earlier. Because they didn't have to walk the cattle across the plains it made cattle available year round and delivered a better quality of meat. The railroad spiked the economy in regards to the cattle industry.

Highland Guitars are made in China. I'm told and I also believe them as well, that they come from the same factory that other "brand names" have their china offerings made. Case in point is the Epiphone ES-335. I can buy it at the Steve's Music blowout price of $499 CDN or buy the Highland HEG-500. There is not a spick of difference in construction, sound, fit/finish (Highland comes with a classy wood pickguard), which tells me that they probably did come from the same factory. I can get the Highland for $449. BTW the Highland case for $89 is better looking and has a hygrometer built-in. I've had mine about a year now and am looking for the HEJ-640 Titan.
