Why would you want to try to stop recycling? We should be trying to get everyone to recycle so that:

# trees and forests won't be cut down # carbon emissions won't be sent up into the atmosphere from the production and burning of coal, oil and natural gas # extra energy won't have to be spent making cans from raw materials instead of from recycled cans. # extra energy won't have to be spent making paper from wood instead of from recycled paper.
