2. If they continue to refuse. Document it and notify the Dr. Immediately.

All the doctor can do is prescribe the medication and advise the patient to take it and if that is documented in the medical chart, but the patient fails to take it, then the negligence is on the part of the patient and no responsibility for how sick they become is the fault of the doctor.
