I don't really think he's looking for someone to 'make him feel better', especially if they were close.
I imagine he's looking for someone to be there for him, spend time with him and listen to him. He'll come to terms with his aunt's death in his own time, but what he needs now is a good friend, and not some nonexistent perfect combination of magical words to make him happy.
Your aunt's sister is also your aunt, unless she's your mother.
Friends should be left to friends. If her and her aunt are friends, it should not provoke jealosy. When I have to choose between a friend and another friend, you know who I choose? The one who does not make me choose. I would rather have friends that understand that I need a lot of different people in my life.
It is not unusual for young women to look to older women as role models. Why should you be jealous? Is the aunt taking anything that belongs to you?
An honorary aunt is a close friend of the parents who is called an aunt, though not related by blood. For example, if you have a friend who has a baby, you may be called an aunt (or uncle) by the child and parents even though you're not related.
Your aunt marrying your friend's uncle does not make you and your friend blood relatives. I don't think there would be a problem with you and your friend marrying.
'Zia' is an Italian equivalent of 'aunt'. It's a feminine noun whose definite article is 'la' ['the'] and whose indefinite article is 'una' ['a, one']. It's pronounced 'TSEE-ah'.
We think you are telling us that you were messing around with your friend's relationship with her aunt, and that you know you were wrong to do so. If that is the case, tell your friend that, and hope that the relationship can be put back together after a while. And PS: Next time, mind your own business. Your "job" as a friend is to be a friend, not to manipulate her life.
No you are not related, because you have no ancestors in common. And because of the divorce, her aunt is no longer your aunt.
