First of all, you need to start the level titled "The Covenant." You must start from the beginning, it won't work if you start at a rally point. Also, the game difficulty must be set to Normal or higher.
Play through the level normally until you get to the finally building/tower in the game. kill all enemies and make your way to the Prophet "Truth." (Be sure NOT to jump through the Halo holograms on your way.) After the cut scene in which the Arbiter kills Truth, fight your way back towards where you entered the tower, being sure to kill ALL flood, and make sure you get a check point.
Now you'll notice that there are seven huge Halo holograms along the bridges. These are what you'll be jumping through. For this tutorial, we will number these rings 1-7, in numerical order from end to end. The order to jump through the rings is 4654534. (Note: I don't remember which end to start from, so you can try both if need be. If it doesn't work, revert to the last checkpoint and keep trying. If someone knows which end to start from for sure, please post after my answer.)
If you did it successfully, all of the rings will light up very brightly. Now, go back towards where the Arbiter killed Truth, and on the bridge leading to the platform, there will now be a skull there. It is called the IWHBYD skull, and acronym for "I would have been your daddy." When you activate this skull, it changes many of the phrases you hear NPC characters say throughout the game. Make sure to finish the level.
This skull was supposed to be a huge secret. The only reason it was found was because some hacker(s) hacked the games hex code and found the combination.
