Boston Terrier
Hi My dog is a Schnauzer/Patterdale mix who is about 9 years old and a rescue dog, male. He is typically Patterdale. Recently we adopted a new rescue dog. She is a Collie- Cross, about same age. Ralph gets on with her well. No problems at all. Ralph didn't like her touching his toys at first so we bought Ripley the Collie-Cross, some new toys too and of course they had to establish not to touch each others bowls when eating but she told him by a kind of barking/growl and he obeyed. They are slowly becoming closer. I have heard its easier to introduce a female to a male regardless of size, breed etc. Maybe if our new addition was male Ralph the Pat mix might have behaved differently, I don't know but its a consideration. Regards Karen
