There is no official best team, but people can advise you on the best types to use, it is then upto you to utilize Pokemon from the those typings or have those types represented by the moves your team knows.

1) Will: Psychic.

Focus on using Dark or Bug moves to defeat Will (avoid Bug on Xatu because it is part flying). Alternatively: Electric (Xatu x2 and Slowbro)and Fire (Jynx and Exeggutor).

2) Koga: Bug/Poison

You can use: Psychic against 4 of his team, or use Fire types for 3 of his team. Although Steel Pokemon cannot learn these moves typically, they are a good alternative due to being resistant to Poison so you won't have to worry about Toxic or Poison Inducing Moves. You could use Rock/Ground moves as another alternative.

3) Bruno: Rock/Fighting.

Flying types can be used, but take into account 2 of his Fighting Types have moves that can easily defeat them. Much easier to use Psychic and Grass (for Onix).

4) Karen: Dark/Poison

With Karen you can utilize Fighting (Houndoom and Umbreon) , Ice (Murkrow) and Psychic (Gengar and Vileplume) types.

5) Champion Lance: Dragon/Flying.

Take most as they come: Gyarados (Electric), Charizard & Aerodactyl (Rock), Dragonite (Ice, beware of Fire Blast).

In summary:

1) Bug/Dark

2) Fire/Psychic

3) Psychic/Grass

4) Fighting/Ice/Psychic

5) Ice/Electric/Rock

Try to use one from each of line of that list above and you should be fine as you're properly leveled and equipped (Full Restores, Revives, etc)
