if you are riding it hard all the time mix it at 32 to one if you are just putting mix it at 35 to one you can go 40 0r 45 but you will need to rebild it more often i run my 99 cr at 35 and is great hope this helps
the mixtuer is 40:1 I like to use a 32:1
This ratio is 40:1.
The owners manual calls for 20:1, however with the improvement in 2 stroke oils since 1980 a 32:1 to 40:1 should be fine.
1:100....
4ozs to 1 gallon
DEPENDING ON WHAT TYPE OF FUEL YOU USE , IT CAN BE EITHER 40:1 , OR 50:1 .
36 parts fuel to 1 part oil..........
could anyone help me i have a 2001 Honda cr80 and could anyone tell me how much coolant do i put in the radiator and what mix ratio for the fuel also what would be the best engine oil to use cheers Chris
The 2001 model, 25 hp Johnson outboard, would run a 50:1 ratio, roughly one pint of 2 cycle oil, to six gallons of fuel.
If not using the VRO system, mix fuel at 50:1, one pint of 2 cycle oil to six gallons of fuel.
You want around 125 ml of oil to one imperial gallon of fuel. 4 ounces to one gallon gives you 32:1 most people run that but for more power but also more wear you can run less oil say 3.2 gives you 40:1 and i think 2.5 ounces gives you 50:1 but as long as you run good oil you should be fine (hp2 oil is pretty good )
It runs on 32:1 or 40:1 its just rider preference from here.
