Labor Day is celebrated on the first Monday in September to honor the contributions and achievements of American workers and the labor movement. The choice of this date was made to provide a long weekend for workers, promoting both leisure and recognition of their efforts. The holiday originated in the late 19th century during a time of labor unrest, aiming to bridge the gap between laborers and their employers. It was officially recognized as a federal holiday in 1894.

They should not consider you to be first time pregnant following a C-section. They may consider your labor a first if your C-section was performed prior to labor, but that only means your labor may take a little longer than a second labor as first time labors usually take more time to progress.
Labor Day was first celebrated in 1882. Members of the Central Labor Union took a day off to protest the deplorable conditions endured by American workers. Men, women and children struggled to get work in locations that offered nothing but long hours, hazardous environments and minimal pay. Over time the people who suffered through these grueling conditions banded together to form unions and demand shorter shifts, safety measures and fair wages. This led to the establishment of the first Labor Day, which began with a parade that was intended to display the "strength and esprit de corps of the trade and labor organizations" and celebrate the American workforce. The first Labor Day was celebrated on a Tuesday, but ever since it has occurred on the first Monday in September.
