When I buy items from the sims 3 store they download but won't install?

You have to go to the game menu and locate the tab titled "Downloads". Once there, click on the object you want to add and press the "Install" button near the bottom of the page. A pop-up window should appear. Though the installation process is usually quick, be patient and don't click around. If you are patient and there are no errors, it will tell you the installation was a success and that is done. When you play your game, your downloaded object should be accessible through ordinary ways. Happy simming!
