because when you speak up and stand up for yourself you may feel doomed because it may make you fear the other person is going to get angry and do something I'll use the example when a kid says No to there parents they may feel doomed because they then realize they crossed the line. ∙ 12y ago- When you stand up for yourself in an abusive situation you should be proud of the fact you did stand up to that person even though the thoughts of doom are brought on by fear of what that person can do to you. It is far better to stand up for yourself and without your partner knowing find help through Mental Health in your town or city to get help to get out of the abusive relationship.
