The Friar will first send a note to Romeo explaining that when he hears of Juliet's death, he shouldn't believe it. Then Juliet is to take the drug that will fake her death so when she wakes up in her tomb (after her 'funeral'), Romeo would be there and they'll sneak off to Mantua together. This allows them to be together peacefully even though Romeo is banished. of course this doesn't work out because Romeo never get's the Friar's note. So he ends up committing suicide by her side in the tomb right before she wakes up. Then, of course, realizing her beloved love is dead, Juliet stabs herself with his knife he had on him. Thus the famous phrase "oh happy dagger"
Juliet has taken a herb to make her look dead so that she can escape with Romeo. I think Paris was there to mourn Juliet and noticed Romeo coming. Romeo didn't know about the herb, and was coming to kill himself with poison so that he can be dead alongside Juliet. Paris thinks that Romeo s coming to vandalize the tomb, so he fights him, and Romeo kills him. Romeo kills himself, and then when Juliet wakes up and finds Paris and Romeo dead, she kills herself with a knife. Lovely.
The Friar gives Juliet a potion which gives her all the signs of death, no pulse, cold skin, slowed breath, which she takes making her family believe that she is dead. She is put in the Capulet family tomb, and Friar John was asked to deliver news of Juliet being alive to Romeo, so Romeo can come just as Juliet wakes up and whisk her off to Mantua with him. At least that was the friar's plan. Unfortunately Friar John gets caught up in traffic so to speak, so when Romeo hears that Juliet is dead, he immediately heads for the tomb, arriving while she still sleeps, and kills himself. She wakes up, finds him dead, and kills herself also.
