When Lennie does not want to talk to Curley's wife she begins to feel like everyone around her wants nothing to do with her including Curley himself. She also does not understand why nobody wants to talk to her so she asks what the problem is with someone trying to get a little attention, as well what the problem is with her trying to make conversation.
Curley reaction when he meets George and Lennie is that he is mad because George is doing all the talk and not letting Lennie talk at all. But Curley gets madder when George stands up for Lennie!! Then Curley say. "oh so it's that way".
Curley's wife reacts angrily and becomes more persistent in trying to engage Lennie in conversation. She becomes frustrated when he remains silent or unresponsive.

Curleys wife didnt take him seriously ,but he was the only person she could talk to. "You are nuts , but you kinda nice fella". He was her friend because Curley never spend time with her and that times women were treted not as they are treated now .She treated him as if he was her closest friend ,but Lennie was warried and didnt want to talk to her because george wouldn't let him to "tend them rabits" if he talks to her.

Candy wanted to talk to Lennie about the dream of owning a piece of land with George and him. Candy offered to contribute money towards purchasing the land in exchange for being allowed to live there and work with them.

he doesn't want to let lennie in his room because lennie is white and crooks, being black, isn't allowed in the white bunk house, so why should a white man be allowed in his room? he changes his mind because he wants someone to talk to and feels grateful for the company.
Crooks initially reacts negatively to Lennie because he is used to being ostracized because of his race and doesn't want to get his hopes up about fitting in. However, he ultimately lets Lennie in because of his vulnerability and need for companionship, which is something he can relate to.
Just start speaking with them and see how they react. If they do not want to talk to you then you must just let things be.
