Not necessarily. Sometimes there can be an error and there will be no green triangle. Other times there is a green triangle, but the formula is not necessarily wrong. It is there to give you a warning that there may be a problem, like if it thinks the range is not large enough. Sometimes you can choose to ignore the error, because the formula is doing what you actually want it to do. A formula may have an error of other kinds, that will not be picked up as warnings.
