No! There is no such thing as a Laser thermometer. You mean an infrared thermometer with a laser pointer. All point and shoot thermometers are infrared based. Since infrared light is in the spectrum, it does not require excitation or amplification therefore it is not a laser. Laser is the acronym for Light Amplification by the Stimulated Emission of Radiation.

The Thermometer it self has a specific Micro chip that has a pre set temperature range. The display may show you a number above 1000 but it is false. The Rayethon corporation developed one of the first affordable portable infrared thermometers.

What is the temperature range of a laboratory thermometer?

the answer is -10 degree C -- 110 degree C

Why is a laboratory thermometer not used to measure the body temperature?

A thermometer used to measure body temperature is extremely accurate over an extremely small range of temperatures. It will give the temperature to the tenth of a degree. A laboratory thermometer does not have the partial degree separations but gives the temperature over a much wider range of temperatures.

Different kinds of thermometer and their uses?

Different types of thermometer and their uses 1. liquid-in-glass thermometer: weather recording and laboratory uses. (Temperature sensor: laboratory uses.<--this may not count as one of the thermometers XD ) 2. infra-red thermometer: measuring body temperature. 3. rotary thermometer: measuring the temperature of ovens and freezers. 4. resistance thermometer: measuring temperatures from -200 degree C to 1000 degree C, e.g. engines and ovens, etc. 5. thermistor thermometer: measuring the temperature of human body and electrical appliances. 6. liquid crystal thermometer: measuring the temperature of human body and fish tanks. ( the color of liquid crystal changes with temperature.)

The thermometer reads 38 degree Celsius what is the temperature in degrees Fahrenheit?

100 degrees Fahrenheit

When the temperature of thermometer is 38Centigrade then how much temperature in degree?

Centigrade is also known as Degree. If you meant 38 Centigrade is how many Fahrenheits, the answer is 100.4 F or 311.15 K (Kelvin)
